Umbra,... her true name is both too long and too dangerous to record,... is a daughter of Lucipherus Antedeus,... commonly called Satan in your reality.  Umbra is the younger sister to Satana.  Unlike her sister, she remained loyal to Daddy after He got tossed out of Hell by His upstart lieutenants.  Condemned to wander the various mortal realms, unable to gain any real vengeance on those who betrayed Him, His hatred and bile obviously infected His daughter.

Therefore, it should be no surprise that when she learned of a band of powerful beings intent on overthrowing Hell's masters and seizing control of the UnderWorld for their own purposes, she agreed to guide them.
