Sapala Cladd'Rilynrae - Drow Elf female Lvl1/1/1 Fighter/Cleric/WarPriestess

The story of the Drow is all too well known; rebels who fought against the Delsian rule, cast out and hunted until they sought solace in the caverns beneath, the UnderDark.  There, they conquered and commanded, ruling over all the dark places beneath Arrallon’s crust.  But the early days under Queen Mellikan saw the race split yet again when She became Lolth.  And unbeknownst to the Drowlands, another Drow nation evolved far away, the Splinter Kingdom.  Time passed, Lolth was slain and rose twice, and the Splinter Kingdom and the Drovikallum went to war.  Eventually, both were devastated and Lolth met Her final destruction.  In those days of the Drow Wars, the shadow Gods of the Dark Seldarine rose up to fight for their own place at the Drow table.  The winner of that battle was eventually declared.  Eilistraee ascended to the throne as the new Queen of the Dark Seldarine, the shadow Gods of the Drow.  And those who stood by Her in the final days of Lolth were rewarded for their faith and perseverance, those who survived the war that is.

Sapala’s mother was one of those lost in the last days.  When the capitol of the Splinter Kingdom was destroyed, Sabalraeala Cladd'Rilynrae, a rebel priestess, died fighting the spider kissers.  Sapala watched as the caverns collapsed hundreds of miles away from the blast that killed the Matron Mother and most of the priestesses of Lolth.  She knew that her mother had given her life to secure a better UnderDark for them all.  When news of Lolth’s final destruction reached her, there was great celebrations in the newly rebuilt city of Elg’Calkysheen.  Sapal was there when the new governor of Elg’Calkysheen was sworn in, a heady and proud day to be a member of the New Drow Nation.

Sapala would have to admit something of a case of hero worship for the High WarPriestess of Eilistraee, she who saw the weapon delivered to the Splinter Kingdom that destroyed its will to fight and enraged Lolth sufficiently to force Her to return to Arrallonian space.  It doesn’t even occur to her that weapon was also what killed her own mother.  Sapala follows the WarPriestess in all things; in her fighting style, her love of both men and women, and in her monthly celebrations of the full Ghalli.
